Rent Studio Space

Call for Renters

Our motto has always been "printmakers love company" and that's exactly what we're looking for!

We are a feminist-inspired printmaking collective established in 2008 making room for non-member printmakers. We're looking for a printmaker that is experienced enough to work independently in a studio, shares our core values of community and empathy, and who might want to rent either long-term or short-term but not participate in our collective.

Our studio opened in 2018 at 58 Wade Ave, right smack in an artistic hub, on the same street as Patel Brown Gallery, nearby Mercer Union and in the same neighbourhood as MOCA.

This offer only accommodates up to three (3) sub-renters a month, and your first few sessions will have a member on site for orientation purposes. This space is ideal for screen printers, alternative print practices, monotype and cyanotype artists, and folks who draw as their main practice!

We also want to explicitly and strongly welcome printmakers who come from equity seeking groups including but not limited to BIPOC artists and members of the LGBTQ+ community.

Rental Fees & Amenities
  • $300/month studio rent - hydro inclusive, internet will be included once we have a full roster

  • Max 4 renters, plus 4 collective members in the space

  • Renter access

  • Regular studio access with equipment including

    • Screen-printing storage, squeegees, darkroom, vellum, exposure unit and washout, emulsion (within a limit - if you have a big project with a lot of screens to expose, you may need to buy your own).

    • Tabletop Jack Richeson relief printing press (9" x 12" prints max)

    • Mobile drying racks

    • Small library of printmaking and art texts and books

    • Office laser printer

    • Multiple stationary and mobile workstations

    • Praga litho pressed, with access to pronto plates

    • Flat file for storage of paper

    • Small shelf space for your inks and other supplies not provided by the studio

    • Provisional press (proofing press)

    • Vandercook proofing press with magnets (no furniture or type available in house)

    • Small nipping press (relief or bookbinding)

    • Light table for drawing

Extra Incidentals

$5 screen rental for the month (per screen, screen stays in studio)

Renters must supply their own inks and papers. We use Speedball emulsion for screen, but renters are welcome to bring their own to use. Please note that we do not have access to a powerwasher at this time.

The space is currently ideal for screen, relief, cyanotype, alternative print and mono-printers, or anyone looking for a larger space to just work on hand-pulled relief prints. The litho press can also be used for waterless photo-litho or mokulito, as well as pronto plates, but please chat with us first to set up for that.

Hallowe'en Horrors
Spooky Zine Exchange!

Welcome to the second iteration of the inPrint Zine Exchange!

Share your horrific zines, scary tales, and ghastly ghosts! We're talking Hallowe'en, Monsters, Costumes, Spooky Recipes, scary movies and more! Submit ten copies of your zine, and take home zines by other artists. This is a fundraiser for our studio and community programs, and will culminate in an exhibition of all zines in October! Please keep it PG for our exchange.

The cost to participate is $15 (plus tax). Once you register, within 48 hours you will receive a pdf with instructions on how to participate, as well as a blank zine template for you to make your work in. You can also opt to work on your own template - but try to keep it at an accessible size for you to photocopy (8.5" x 11") and for us to mail back.

You can work digitially to make your zine or print it out and work directly on it.

Once your zine is ready, photocopy and fold 10 copies to send to inPrint, and include your mailing address. You receive 9 zines in return, with the 10th for inPrint to showcase in an exhibition of all the zines (we'll have a party!). You can ship these to us, or if you are local, you can arrange to drop them off at our studio.

The Zine Exchange costs $15 to participate. This exchange is a small fundraiser and will help with the admin of this project, including the mailing out of your new zine collection! Since this is a fundraiser, fees are non-refundable.

Zines are due by September 27th, 2025. You can drop it off in person on that day from 2pm to 6pm - email us if you need an alternative arrangement!

We'll run an exhibition from Oct 6 to Nov 16 (stay tuned for details on a reception!).

inPrint's address is 58 Wade Ave, Unit 8A, Toronto, On, M6H 1P5. Feel free to contact us at inprint.collective@gmail.com

inPrint reserves the right to refuse submissions that are racist, sexist, homophobic, transphobic, ablest or feature otherwise hateful rhetoric.

Thank you for your support of the inPrint Collective! These initiatives help us to maintain our collective as well as our community. We look forward to seeing all of your zines!
