11am-4pm
Join inPrint for one or all of our drop-in open studio sessions. This is non-instructional time where you can come into the studio and use the space alongside our community to just get some printing done. Want to expose a bunch of screens to print later? Play around with some cyanotypes indoors? Or use our table-top etching press on an already carved block or etched plate? Maybe you just want to think ideas through alongside other artists.
Come on down and make some art!
Folks must provide their own supplies including ink, blocks and paper but can use our equipment including presses, screen tables and squeegees, exposure unit as well as access to emulsion (Speedball) with a limit to 2 screens per person. Folks are welcome to come in any time through-out the day, and note that the rate is a flat fee regardless of how many hours are used.
Screen Rental is $5 for use for the session.
Typcial screen sizes are 20"x24" or smaller. Our table top etching press is a recommended max 9"x12" image size. We have a larger proofing press, but are in the process of testing it out still for relief print!
2026 Summer dates coming soon!

A blend of pixel art and printmaking, you will be shown how to make an image with play bricks (Legos) as well as how to print and register your paper. Turn your favourite building toys into an image block for a fabulous, accessible and creative style of printmaking. You will be creating and designing your own image or message to print in multiples on fun paper to create a Father's Day card. Don't forget to wear your shoes - no one likes to step on a Lego play brick!
Great as a Father's Day experience OR come with your bestie to make a card for the parental figure in your life!
All materials are included with class fee. Recommended for ages 6 and up. Adults must accompany children. One registration = 1 adult + 1 child.

Interested in screen but intimidated by the process? In this workshop, you'll receive an intensive introduction to emulsion-based silkscreen and demystify the practice so you can do it at home.
Learn what you need to know about the basic set-up and supplies, coating and exposing screens, as well as pulling a basic one-layer print. All supplies, including screens to use in class are provided.
Students can bring their own drawings ready to expose, or use provided templates to just get the hang of the process. Drawings should not have an image size bigger than 7" x 10" and should be black and white only, no tones or shadows.

This 1-day workshop is an introduction to gel printing, a monoprint method that combines acrylic painting and print media in creative ways. Gel printing can have quite the learning curve when you are first getting into it, so this is an opportunity to play through the technique and learn the nuances to making it work!
Several methods will be explored, including stenciling/masking, transferring charcoal and pastel drawings, and photocopy image transfer. You will create a small series of unique prints by the end of this workshop, and gain useful knowledge for gel printing at home. This workshop is perfect for beginners or experienced artists.
All materials are included with class fee.

Let's build a book together!
In this workshop, we'll take a more focused look at making sketchbooks or art journals, via soft-cover sewing methods that are recreatable at home with just the basic bookbinding supplies. We'll explore a couple of stab-bound options (1 basic, 1 advanced) while playing with cover-options, and also complete a small French-sewn book with multiple signatures. Participants will complete a total of three books to take home. If we end up with extra time in class, this time can be used to keep practicing your new skills and take home more books!
This class is perfect for those who have taken our Intro to Soft Cover class but is also fine for absolute beginners.
All materials provided. Suitable for older teens and adults.
