Make an Infinity Card!

Want to learn how to make cute, creative cards customized for any occasion? Learn to make infinity cards! These fun folding cards can be made for birthdays, saying thank you, congratulations, or add your own little story and flip, flip, flip away yourself! This workshop will provide you with step-by-step instructions on how to make the infinity card in a few different shapes. It will also incorporate basic creative writing and poetry elements to help customize your cards. Supplies will be provided. Suitable for older teens and adults.
**An infinity card is a neat structure that allows you to fold the card endlessly in loops, revealing interesting layers in a controlled sequence.
This class will run ONLINE.
A Zoom link for the class will be sent shortly before the start of class. Please ensure that your emails from either Universe or inPrint (InPrint.email@example.com) are not going to your spam mail.
Supplies You Will Need:
*scissors or exacto knife/cutting matte (or appropriate substitute like a cutting board or upcycled cardboard box flattened)
*minimum 4 sheets of letter size paper, can be computer or sketch paper.
*ruler or straight edge
*decorative papers such as origami or wrapping paper
*bone folder or plastic card as substitute (think credit or presto card)

Studio Sessions, $35
This is non-instructional time, but a member of the collective is in the studio to monitor the space
This is a four hours long period to work on your project
includes a brief orientation if new to the space, access to presses, screen tables, light tables, wash out sink, squeegees, rags, acetate for screen registration
Does not include use of screens, emulsions, studio paper (including positives) or ink
Open to past workshop students or residents, or can demonstrate strong familiarity with the process
Availability of sessions: during COVID-19 measures, by appointment only
COVID-19 Special Private Lesson, $60
5 hour learning session with a member of inPrint. Specific skill desired to learn should be determined upon booking. Please note that if you have a specific project in mind, we may not finish in this session.

Instructional Mentorship/Artist Support, $30/hour

Can be used for intensive lessons/print mentorship OR for support in printing a project.
If booked for artistic support, artist must be active and lead the needs of the project. InPrint member is there to help and to offer technical assistance but the artist will be expected to participate and guide in the goals of the printing session
Does not include use of screens, emulsions, studio inks and paper (including for positives)
Artist must provide own paper or textiles for project
Availability: by appointment only
$5 for emulsion/vellum use (up to 5 uses of each). 50 cents for extra usages per need.
$3 for in studio screen rentals.
$20 for total package use of screens (up to 2), ink (edition and colour limits may apply), emulsion and vellum for positives.
To book any of the private or studio sessions, please email with "Book a Lesson" in the subject line. Payment can be made by etransfer or cash, but must be made in full before or upon the start of the session.
Due to COVID-19 containment measures, guests of the studio will be asked to wear a mask while inside the studio. Guests will also be asked to wash hands upon arrival, and to sign in for contact tracing purposes. The inPrint Collective has a number of cloth masks available for use if needed, but please note that these are not medical grade, and are washed in-studio with hypoallergenic, unscented detergent.
