Cyanotypes!

Rain or shine, we will be creating Cyanotypes in this three hour workshop! Cyanotypes are a fun print-related technique that is great for beginners or experts even if this is your first steps into the printmaking world. This workshop will give you a brief history of cyanotypes before diving into the process and creating your own print. Our experienced inPrint artist will guide you through the materials and how you can recreate the process at home! Materials and paper will be provided. Suitable for older teens and adults.

Make an Infinity Card!

Want to learn how to make cute, creative cards customized for any occasion? Learn to make infinity cards! These fun folding cards can be made for birthdays, saying thank you, congratulations, or add your own little story and flip, flip, flip away yourself! This workshop will provide you with step-by-step instructions on how to make the infinity card in a few different shapes. It will also incorporate basic creative writing and poetry elements to help customize your cards. Supplies will be provided. Suitable for older teens and adults.

**An infinity card is a neat structure that allows you to fold the card endlessly in loops, revealing interesting layers in a controlled sequence.

Intro to Origami

inPrint loves everything to do with paper, and we are so excited to once again invite guest instructor Sharon Kawabata into the studio to show us how to fold! Learn some basic origami folding tips using a variety of beautiful paper. We'll make some items to use as gifts, ornaments, decorations or desk accessories--just in time to make great Mother's Day or springtime cards and gifts! In two hours, a variety of take home items will be made with all materials provided. Perfect for beginners just interested in origami techniques, artists interested in taking their paper practices into new directions or anyone just looking to get creative with their hands! Sharon will also be sharing some new models she has learned, and will share her methods on using upcycled paper to create her models. Suitable for teens and adults!

Intro to BookBinding

Calling all writers, hobbyists, and artists alike! Interested in learning some basic bookbinding methods to put together your poetry or loose drawings? Would you like to make your own sketchbook or journal? This class serves as a gateway to bookbinding and introduces you to three basic methods in which you can make a simple but effective book. Focusing on soft covers, we'll cover zine folds, pamphlet stitches and stab bindings, with participants going home with up to 4 new books to fill. These skills are easily replicated at home, and will set you up to learn more complicated bindings (because you're gonna fall in love with bookbinding!).

Silkscreen Intensive

Interested in screen but intimidated by the process? In this workshop, you'll receive an intensive introduction to emulsion-based silkscreen and demystify the practice so you can do it at home. Intro to Relief Intensive

Learn the basics of relief printmaking in this hyper-focused session! Relief printmaking is a tactile, highly rewarding art form. This one-day workshop will take a look at translating designs onto a small lino block, and effective carving strategies. Basic single layer printing principles will be introduced, using high quality artist papers. Designed for those interested in dabbling in accessible relief methods, this class will welcome you to the world of print! Conclude the workshop by making a mailable piece of art in the form of a postcard! Materials are provided with fee. Suitable for older teens and adults.
